About Matthew
I’m currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Marketing and Sustainability in the Management & Organizational Studies department of Huron at Western (Western University). Through my research, I try to understand how and why competition and ideology influence consumers to pursue or neglect socially- or environmentally-sustainable products, brands, and lifestyle choices.
I received my B.A. from the University of Waterloo, and a Masters and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Western. I have worked as a Marketing Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate at the Ivey Business School and the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. I also have years of professional marketing research experience, leading teams to conduct research projects and prepare advanced reports for Fortune 500 clients.
